As usual - I have been lax.
Not updating my blog as often as I should.

Kids are ok.
Vera had a long bout of cough for close to 2mths.
Now recovering.
Kady adjusting well to school.
Teachers all feedback that she's a cheerful and talkative girl in class.
As expected.

Work wise.
Quit in May.
Within the same week, received calls from recruiters to attend interviews.
Headhunter called me to offer job.
After a few rounds of interview and much deliberation.
Decided to join headhunter.
But not as a headhunter myself.
Rather - I will be joining as HR & Admin. Manager.
Big jump in title for me.
Last day here on 9 Jul.
1st day in new job on 20 Jul.
Hope everything will be smooth sailing.

Looking forward to our 1st family holiday on 24 Jul to Phuket.

Time flies!
Another year has just flown past...

Just heard tt 1 of my colleague has tendered his resignation...
sigh... he's a nice person to work with. I'll definitely miss him.
Hopefully the next person who come on board will be as nice!

We'll be having another 2 new senior management staff joining us next year (which is just 2 days away by the way!) and have just heard tt 1 of them doesn't really have a good reputation.
Oh well! He ain't gonna be my boss so whoever is going to work under him - GOOD LUCK!

I'm actually also toying with the idea of looking for greener pastures.
I find that the place is getting alot more corporate and I am really not sure if its for the better or the worse. I've been in this company for over 3 years now... I like the people in the company but with so many staff leaving over the last year... I really dunno.

My trip to Jinan next month (mid-Jan) has been postponed. I spoke to my boss to tell him tt given the current economic situation, I rather stay put and give the chance to my more senior colleagues to go since my area is not tt urgent anyways and volunteered to re-look at the possiblity only after June but boss said to re-look at it after the 1st Q... oh well... we shall see then.

On the home front - Kady is getting difficult. Her patience level is really short and would throw tantrums when things dun go her way. I really hope that we will be able to teach her well and that she would like to respect her elders.

Vera is now 8.5mths! She is already crawling pretty well and is learning to stand. She pulls herself up easily and will let go of support and able to stand for a few seconds on her own.
Vera is pretty smart for a little baby. She is able to understand my simple instructions of asking her to sleep. :)

It all started on Thursday (24 Aug). We brought Kady to Eu Yen Seng to see the chinese doctor since she has been coughing for abt a month already. While at the doctor's Kady complained that her thigh is itchy. We saw some mosquito like bites on her thigh & just applied normal mosquito lotion on it.

In the middle of the night (about midnight), she kept waking up & complained that its itchy. At about 2am, we couldn't take it anymore & decide to switch on the lights to see what the heck is wrong. To our shock, her thighs see to more "Mosquito bites" patches. From the looks of it, its very much like hives! Then when we turn our attention to her face, my goodness! Her face was so swollen & her eyes too. So much so that she can only open her eyes a small slit. We immediately brought her to KK Hospital where she had her medication & we were made to wait there for abt an hour to see if there is any reaction. The swell subsided so we can bring her home.

On Friday (25 Aug), she started complaining of stomach ache. Again, this is in the late evening. She had some loose stools but we thought its okay.

Saturday, her loose stools contd for another 4 more times.

Brought her to KK again on Sunday. Had medication was alright for a few hours then started loose stool again.
Throughout Sunday to Monday, she had loose stools on & off. Sometimes semi-solid, sometimes loose (as in super duper watery!)

Tuesday (29 Aug), since her tummy is still not that well & I had to get back to work (not much leave left also), I brought Kady to my office. Good thing abt my company here is that bosses are all very understanding & family oriented. so no issue abt bringing kids to work as long as they don't disturb the rest of the workers. Again complained of tummy ache & water stools for 2 more times. So no choice, brought her to see her usual PD again. Somehow, after seeing her & changing 1 of the medication, Kady seems to be better now. I hope.

Wednesday (30 Aug) - I am now crossing my fingers that Kady will be alright in school & that the teacher will not call me.

Its weird. Everytime we bring Kady to see a GP or in this case to KK, she doesn't seems to recover but when she sees her usual PD, she'll get better. Not that we don't want to bring Kady to see her usual PD in this case, it just so happens that on the 2 occasion that we brought her, the PD is closed. :( sigh...

okay, enough abt my grumbles... Have not been updating my LOs recently so below are all of them at 1 go.

I had Yoga on Monday with my Sister in law...
Classes start at 7pm so we don't have time to cook. Usually hubby will just do take out.
Which was what he did on Monday. But the takeout was for him and guessed what my sweet dh did?

He took the trouble to go to the supermarket to buy fish and ham with my gal in tow no less!
Then went home & cook porridge with ham & fish for us & steamed the fish too. :)

& Y'day, he woke up extra early to make a yummy salad for me to bring to office for lunch!
I know, I know. It isn't a big deal but hey! Its the small things that matter sometimes, you know?

Sometimes we are so busy with our hectic life styles that we missed the smaller things that matter. :)

& my sweet little girl. For the past few nights, after I put her to bed, she'll come calling, "Mummy, Mummy."
Then gave me a good tight hug & say, "I love you, you know? I love you so much!" Awwww....
How can that not melt any mummies' heart, right?

I feel so blessed to have this family of mine! :D

I made it past the 1st round!!!
Those who don't know what I'm talking abt, well, I participarted in the Effers challenge & got past the 1st round.
I seriously never thot I could make it through. :D

The 2nd challenge was to do a LO wif 13 photos which I have already completed.

Not sure if you can see it from this scan copy but some of the flowers pp & photos are actually pop out as I glued them down with foam stickers to create the pop up effect.

Putting 13 photos on my usual 9 x9 LO is a BIG challenge!!!!
I've never placed soooo many photos on 1 LO before. *LOL*
Good thing the LO turned out okay. So now I'm crossing my fingers that I'll get past round #2.
Not putting much hope but definitely wishing a small miracle may happen & that I may get past! kekekeke... ;)

Last Sunday, we went to watch the last day of the Fireworks Festival. It was a French theme. So they used the colors like Green & Gold alot!!! It was beautiful!!! Kady was stumped. Throughout the 15mins, she was just staring into the brightly lit sky!

I was on leave on Monday to discuss some business stuff. Gosh! Things are finally moving again after almost a month!!!! By the time this goes through & we set things up, it might be next year already! :P

Anyways, I met up with Shemah after that for lunch & of 'cos some shopping! :D
We went to MWL 1st where I bought some glue dots & a pack of metal "thanks" tag to make for Kady's teachers' day pressie...
Then we went to Spotlight where I got some AC ribbons which I hv been eyeing for such a loooong time & some album refills.
THEN we went to Art Friend at Bras Brasah to get some inks and some wooden love sticks which I'll alter to make it again, for Kady's teachers' day pressie. :) Thanks to Shemah for the great idea!
We went for coffee after and had a nice chat.... Had a great time - Thanks again Shemah!

I have not been updating as regularly as I should. But hey, I've been sick!
Boss is also back in town for the rest of the month, so pretty busy.
Not much chance of skiving in the office. :(

So here's some LOs that I did over the past week and a half.

Reading is such a pleasure: This will be gg into Kady's ABC Album for "R". Doodling was inspired by Elsie Flanningan. She's fab!!! The LO took me 2 days to complete. Initially, the so-called completed LO was w/o the buttons, blings blings & doodling. & it looked abosultely horrible! But after gg through EF's latest book (52 challenges), I had so much fun adding the doodling, buttons & blings blings! :D

Our Special Curly Top: This was done for Effers #1 challenge. To write journalling on our photo.
I hope I passed to the next round. *cross fingers* altho' I'm not carrying much hope since there are so many great scrappers who are in for this. This LO will also be gg into Kady's ABC album for "S".

& Kady hasn't recover yet! *boohoo*
I think the lack of sleep + fatigue is making my body weaker & now I'm down with a cough & cold. *sob sob*

I hope both Kady & myself recovers from the wretched cough virus soon!!

& these 2 are the LOs for Trish that I promised to make for her cupcakes' portfolio.
There are altogether 4 of us who will be helping Trish & each of us are to do 4 LOs on Trish's glorious cupcakes. :)

I need to vent!!!

I'm such a grouch!!! arrrggghhh...
dunno what's up wif me these few days.
Maybe its the lack of sleep. :(
I blew up at Kady over the smallest things.
sigh... Kady has been coughing since 2 weeks ago.
& she has been coughing in her sleep for the past week waking up at 3-4am.
wanting to nurse every hour or so.
I'm sooo bloody tired every morning. Find it such a drag to wake up.
Dh has been great, when I wake up in the middle of the night, he helped out too.
Get medicine & warm water for the little one.
Mojo for Sb is gone. :_(
Angry wif myself for blowing up at Kady too. *sob sob*
She's already sick & yet this bad mommy is still being so mean!
She hasn't exactly been an angel for the past week but still...
When will my mood be good again???

Y'day, Kady fell from the sofa while trying to climb on my back (I was lying on my tummy across the sofa) & Fell!!!!! dh's comments were kinda hurtful tho' he probably din mean it. But it hurt anyway!
Why is it that when Kady falls when she's in his care, I never say things like, "Be careful mah! Shld look aft her properly!" etc when he always make such comments??!!! Why are men so insensitive at times?
I already felt bad when she fall, does he has to rub it in??!

So I re-do another. Here it is. I used PPs from 7 gypsies and Urban Lily. Picture was just taken last Saturday from our outing to Sentosa. :)

This LO was done for HMITM challenge to use stripes, flowers & circles BUT after doing this LO, I wasn't too pleased with it & also I just realised I don't know where to post in the HMITM blog... :(

This LO was inspired by an old challenge again from HMITM to use stickers.
If I remembered correctly, it was to use at least 50 stickers??
I think I just abt hit 50. This helps to clear some of stickers stash! :P

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend....

Went to Sentosa with Kady on Saturday.
Brought her to the Underwater World & Dolphin Lagoon.
She was soooo happy! We also took on the beach tram + buses... (I can't wait to scrap the pictures!!!)
Then we had a small dinner of salad. Afterwhich we went to catch a "Movie by the Beach" show - 2 Fast 2 Furious (I think this is the movie title) at Siloso Beach, but we didn't manage to finish watching the show 'cos its hot & humid & Kady was being cranky for being out the whole afternoon. That + my back was killing me from sitting on the beach w/o proper back support. :P

Verdict for watching a movie by the beach - Be Prepared. Bring yr own chairs, drinks, snacks & make sure that you are comfy. Else watching a movie outside w/o the airconditioning in our weather can be quite a torture. Yes, I'm pampered. So what? Give me air conditioned cinemas & comfy chair anytime! *lol*

Was dead tired by the time we reached home so did not managed to scrap. Can you imagine? I was still tired on Sunday? But not tired enough to stay at home! hahahaha...
We went to Takashimaya (a shopping centre in Orchard Road) 'cos there's a Toy Fair there & bought X'mas presents for the nieces & nephews. Called me kiasu but since I can save a pretty penny by buying the pressies on a sale, why not? I can use the savings to get more SB stuff! *wink* that + I don't have to rush/ think what to get for the kiddos later on when its near the Xmas season/ rush.

Kady was down with fever on Monday. The school called me & we took her to see the PD.
Her fever was at 39.7C!!! :(
Spend the whole day with her y'day. Boy, am I tired!

Dh will prob kill me if he knew! :P But I did these 2 LOs before medication...
Aft the med, I was too groggy to move my lazy ass.

Nevertheless, I did got up to make a simple dinner of macaroni & cheese. My 1st try! :P
Verdict: Dh didn't like it (mainly cos he's more of a asean food person rather than western food). Kady enjoyed it tho'. :)

The meeting y'day went well... Aft the meeting, I went to have a look at those pushcarts & bought myself a pair of sandals. Its in green!!! For those who know me well, you'll know tt I'm darn conservative wif my shoes. I always choose safe colors like black or blue or beige. No bright colors. Mainly cos I've got BIG flat feet. :(

then dh drove me the Anchorpoint. & there's Art Frenzy there! Needless to say, I walked out with a little hole in my pocket & dh rolling his eyes at me! :P Then in Anchorpoint, I bought a pair of Elle Leather Boots... the usual price was S$139.00 guessed how much I paid for it? S$30!! Yes, I ain't joking. I only paid S$30 for it! *LOL*

I went for my Hatya Yoga class y'day. It was my 1st class... ain't much. The coach basically concentrate on teaching us the basics of breathing... & some really simple stretches. Hopefully, next week's class will be more interesting.

I was dead tired by then so didn't manage to get down to do my LOs... hopefully, I'll hv time & energy to do them tonight.

They are all sold out! *sob sob* So I gues we'll just have to wait somemore & see if there are better flats... *sigh*

I'll be starting my Yoga classes tonight! I hope these old bones of mine can still bend! *LOL*

On the SB side, I did 2 LOs last weekend. 1 of which I feel is abit blah... so might wanna re-work tat before I show it to others. Here is the one I did & like but I made a little boo-boo on the year. Lucky for me, dh saw it & added the following journalling:

We went to view some houses in Jurong West last weekend. I quite like 1 of them... we'll prob pop over to HDB to find out more abt the costs, etc this Wed. After viewing the houses, dh went & bought his usual comic book while Kady & me wait in the car. Guess what, he came back with a bunch of pink roses for me! :)
So sweet of him! :D

We went to a western place near Sembawang for dinner with 2 friends. It was our 1st try there. I must say the food is quite delish. Especially the Mushroom soup which was serve in a small loaf of homemade bread... really really yummy!

& On Sunday, we brought Kady to the Kranji Reservior. Oh my, I've really got a little princess on my hands! There were some ants (ok, quite a number) that crawled up her leg, & she literally jump up & down screaming for help! I don't know whether to be laughing or ... We took some pics too... will try to upload them later.

Dh was in the mood for Bak Kut Teh so he made some & I was in the mood for Pigs Trotters in Black Vinegar. So I made some... end up, we have 2 big pots in the kitchen! LOL... Pigs Trottters for lunch today as well! I don't mind it too much since its one of my fav dish! ;)

In the mood to do more LOs so over the weekend, so I did two more. TFL!

I went for my last class of Aqua Aerobics last night. It was quite fun actually. Only 3 of us turned up for the class so it was kinda like having a private class wif the coach. :)

A little Update on what's gg on at home:

I'm so proud of my lil' gal! The teacher wrote on Kady's communication book that she's a very good "jie-jie" to all the little young ones... (i.e. younger than she is). She has been helping the younger kids in running errands like grabbing tissue papers, taking their bottles & bags for them. :) She's at the same time very determined and would react strongly to those who snatch her things or take her stuff w/o her permission. LOL - in this way, she's quite like me! I don't like ppl touching or taking away my stuff w/o my permission too! kekekeke... she's a hot little chilli padi alright! My mom said that its more likely that she'll bully others than being taken advantage of! :P

I've been quite productive these few days, can churn out abt 2 LOs everytime I sit on my lil' scrapping corner. So am pretty pleased. :)

We had a good lunch & dinner y'day...

I cooked Apple Prawns in XO sauce, Salmon Omelette, Veg wif Scallops & Watercress Soup for lunch.
For Dinner, I cooked Chilli Crabs, Deep-fried Mantou, Cai Xin wif Mushrooms & Smoked Sausage.
It was really yummy. *slurps*

& I managed to do 2 LOs last night... but forgot to take pics of them... :P

Whole Family sick 2 weeks ago!

We all got sick 2 weekends ago! Started off with Kady having high fever on Thursday. Then on Friday evening, dh & myself caught the flu bug & we were down too! Its really no joke taking care of a sick, whiny & clinghy 2 yr old when you yourself is sick too! Had to be one of the worst weekend ever!!!

On the following Monday & Tuesday, dh & myself had 2 days MC but was spent taking care of Kady too since she still hv not recover from her fever, cough & cold! :(
So I haven't been scrapping as much as I want to. No mood + too tired.

Below are some of the stuff that I did over 2 weeks. Not much, but at least I managed to scrap! :P

Things are gg chaotic at work!!! After the last conference, I came back to the office wif a huge pile of backlog to clear. Then now, I've gotta prepare the ISO audit which is coming up next week + prepare the post conference materials... I think I am gg bonkers very soon!!!

There is an opportunity for me to change job tho' its not confirm yet. I think I'll take it up if all goes well. I know if I take it up, there will be alot more challenges & I may not be as "free" as I am now. But the pay is higher & I'll definitely get to learn more. Having said that, I'll definitely miss this company. I got along well with everyone esp. the bosses. They've been really understanding & nice. I've met a few nasty bosses before this so I know its not always easy to get good bosses to work with. :S

Its a small thing really... but just a small statement such as these really makes me so happy & proud of my lil' gal.

We went & picked up my gal from Childcare as usual the day before y'day.
When we picked her up, we had a small chat with 1 of the teacher & she told us that Kady is adapting to school very well & is one of the more out-standing child in her class. She's also a fast learner.
When I hear this, my heart swell with pride! :)

This is my humble 1st try on doodling almost the whole LO!
Inspired by some of my SB mates who are so good at it.
This took me 2 nites to complete! Abt 2-3hrs in total...

TFL!

It was my birthday yesterday. Dh took 1/2 day leave to celebrate with me. :)

We went to Hanabi restaurant @ Kings' Arcade & the food was great! I went over to Prescence aft lunch & saw a set of Alpha stamps which I like so much... but when I saw the price tag... oh well... guess I'll think abt it somemore & see if I still want it aft a few weeks.

We then went & caught the movie - Mission Impossible 3. Wow!! It was quite an exciting movie. Action all the way. Really enjoyed it! :)

Yesterday was Mother's Day...

But I din really have a Happy Mother's Day.
Its no biggie if we didn't celebrate it. 'Cos I am just waiting for my turn when Kady grows up.
Would be great if she can rem if she can't... well... :_(

Dh has been bugging me for the past mth or so to lose weight.
He has been bugging me for a while, just tt recently, he has become more persistent.
I like my food. I love food. Getting me not to eat certain stuff is kinda like a torture.
I mean, am I THAT fat??? Ya, most friends are able to stay slim after birth... I dunno whether its the genes or cos they have excellent self-control. I'll be the 1st to admit that I dun have much control when it comes to food.
Esp. sweet stuff...

I was pissed off yesterday. Actually, I still am. We haven't spoken a word since y'day. I know its not healthy... BUT... sigh... What happened was dh made a glass of tea for me y'day. I drank 1/2 of it then took out an ice-cream for Kady & when he saw that I walked out the kitchen holding the ice-cream, he just blew his top. Said he made tea for me but I dun drink & yet eat such stuff. Then proceeded to take away the glass of tea away. I flared & said that I didn't say anything abt not wanting to drink the tea! & that's our last conversation for the day till now... :( I'm pissed... I'm really pissed...& upset. Its such a small thing but I'm bloody pissed. Dun tell me not to get upset over such small stuff... cos its of no use. >:(

This is not the 1st time. Everytime I take out chocs or ice cream, he'll showed a face. Sometimes making insensitive remarks. I have had it up here. I have to clarify that I dun eat chocs or ice cream everyday. Once or twice a week maybe (on average). But definitely not everyday. Sometimes I cldn't help but wonder - is health the only reason as he so often quoted???!!! Like I said, those are not the only stuff I eat. Its not like I am eating it excessively! Then if I rebuked, he'll say stuff like "ok, in future, I dun care/ say anymore!"

What is it with him?? PMSing???!!!

Aft a week of gg cold turkey without SB, I did these 2 LOs last night.

I scanned the LOs in the office. Aft scanning the one, it went wonky... so the other LO of Kady seems a bit wierd... Anyways, can't complain since the scanner ain't mine. :S

It's kinda liberating to scrap again. You dunno how much you've missed it till you do it again! LOL.

Its actually pretty therapeutic! Cos I wasn't thinking abt work at all when I was coming out with this LO! :)

Yes, I am Stressed out! O.F.F.C.I.A.L.L.Y
Too many things happening ard the same time that I can hardly breathe!!!
The conference is next week. so I'm really bz getting all those late minute requests organized & sending off materials.

& this idiot gotta go & arrange for the stupid ISO audit to be before & right after the Conference!
ARRGGHHH! *I think I'm losing my hair* & since I am the secondary MR, I hv to be actively involved too.
He said he has prepared the Audit Plan, but what the heck, till date, I still hv not seen it. & the audit is supposed to be on 9th May! generally, we need at least 2 weeks to read the audit plan to prepare for the auditing... & since I am away next week, I should hv received it on Monday itself. But no, I wasn't informed abt the it till y'day!

Its like, out of the blue, suddenly I am told that I am in the Audit team, then the next audit is on 9th May!
I so need to vent! & I saw & heard wif my own 2 eyes & ears what a bitch he is! He actually bad mouthed 1 of our colleague right in front of our MD & FC! Without proof! He just assumed that this colleague was the one who "influenced" another colleague who happen to be his surbordinate just cos all along, he hasn't really like her! My goodness! I felt like slapping him there & then!!! >:(

Did these 2 LO a while ago... Maybe a while more (abt 2weeks??) before I'll get anymore time or inspiration to do more LOs... Altho' I hope tt I'll still contd to do more.... one can only hope! :P

Truth is, I hv been really busy with work and all... not much time to do any LOs as after work, I'm dead tired! :( Hopefully, aft this conference, I can finally relaxed abit!

I really missed scrapping! Wif the conference round the corner, I am getting more stressed up by the minute!!! ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

I'll be running some errands for the company tmrw & will take the chance to go shop 4 more stuff fr Textile Ctr... kekekeke... reward myself for the hard work! :P

I joined a crop session wif the M4M gang last Fri... We had so much fun!
The company, food & cropping session was fantastic! :)

Kady started school 2 weeks ago.

3days aft CC, she caught a cold... so had runny nose.
1week later, she recoverd.

Then last Sat, she caught stomach flu... so kept vomitting.
Vomitting stopped on Monday but she had Diarrhea.

Tuesday, we brought her out with her cousin (as he's visiting fr Msia)...
The two of them were 1/2 walking 1/2 running in front of us & the next minute, she fell.

Kady did not managed to break her fall... but instead fell on her chin.

From what I see, her skin sort of split & quite a fair bit of blood was oozing out... I was so anxious when I saw her cut & blood that my hands were actually shaking...

She refused to let us put on a plaster or do anything, not even to hold a hanky to compress the area to stop the blood but just kept crying & screaming...

When I hear her cries & saw the wound, my heart was also splitting... this kinda of pain is all new to me ... I hope & pray to God that she will not have anything more serious than this. If there is more to come, then God, please let it fall onto me...

Thabove LO is for the Women's day Challenge @ M4M.

Journalling was written in chinese by dh...
I asked him to write how "Special" I am as a wife to him...

Its an old chinese poem(?) by some famous scholar (Just dun ask me who cos my chinese is 1/2 past 6 kind)

Poem basically means it takes 100 years of goodness(?) to share 1 boat ride together & anther 1000 yrs of cultivation of goodness (?) to share a pillow. What we have itself is already very special, nothing is more special than that. In dh's words lah. To him, I am not special cos I do certain stuff for him or for the family, I am special just cos I am. Cheem manz...
The last 2 chinese words reads "xi fu" means to treasure this kind of fortune (i.e. to treasure me lah! :P)

The word Artist was using Toothpicks. but I painted it wif Acrylic Paint & doodle it a lil wif green ink.

Aint too happy wif it. Felt tt something is missing. My SB mates over in M4M gave me advises tt its cos everything is too equal. & I think they are rite. Seems like dun hv focal pt! :(

OK, I am finally getting started.

Inspired by my fellow SB mates over in M4M, I hv decided to start a scrap booking blog of me own. *applause please* I usually dun hv the patience to write a diary altho' I used to write when I was still a kid but the stopped when it had its side effects... *long story here*

then last yr, I tried to keep a blog but aft a while, got too bz so din contd... nevertheless, here I am again. Hopefully, this time, I'll be able to keep the fire burning! :)
